7.30 p.m. Nat Osborn / Mike Parker Duo
New Yorkers Nat Osborn and Mike Parker have worked their way up from busking in Budapest, through gigs at famous clubs in New York City, to headlining jazz festivals across Europe. Whilst they often perform together as part of the jazz, rock and soul band ‘Nat Osborn Band’, they take the opportunity to do something a little different during their duo performances: Parker swaps his electric bass for his favourite double bass, and Osborn switches from the keyboard to the acoustic guitar. The sound remains jazz-influenced, but also incorporates Americana, blues and folk.

Meral Polat infuses the Kurdish soul with the raw energy of the blues and unfiltered emotion. Accompanied by three virtuoso musicians, she brings hypnotic soundscapes to life in a deeply moving performance. Her album *Ez Kî Me* is a contemporary interpretation of traditional Anatolian music and, through rhythm, groove and rock ’n’ roll, tells stories of resistance, struggle and solidarity in the fight for women’s rights.

Music that breaks with convention without seeking approval, and which appeals equally to curious newcomers and seasoned purists – that is exactly what daoud aims for. The Franco-Moroccan trumpeter and composer loves to challenge existing conventions and ignore the rules of jazz. Instead, through his music, he creates a completely unique, new and uncompromising force field that brings together jazz, hip-hop, R&B and elements of electronic music. His work is characterised by a constant tension: between playfulness and seriousness, chaos and tenderness, irony and sincerity.
