YOUNG VIBES
Dance and performance for a young audience
Since 2019, SZENE Salzburg has presented YOUNG VIBES, a programme dedicated to young audiences. At its heart are choreography, dance and movement in all their facets and forms of expression. The selected works offer an accessible introduction to contemporary dance and performance and invite young audiences to engage with the art form in an enjoyable and thoughtful way.
The programme presents stage works that are created with young audiences in mind, both in terms of their themes and their formal and aesthetic language. Alongside productions featuring professional dancers, YOUNG VIBES also includes projects in which young people actively participate in the creative process.
YOUNG VIBES goes far beyond simply watching performances. Specially designed workshops, rehearsal visits and conversations with artists create opportunities for young people to explore their own creativity and engage more actively with the work. They can delve deeper into the pieces and their themes while discovering different ways of connecting artistic practice with aesthetic education.
In this way, YOUNG VIBES brings together artistic experience, creative participation and shared reflection.
